Because we ship alcohol, we are only allowed to use FedEx. We cannot use UPS or the US Mail (if you’re like us and want to see this changed, please contact your US Congressman or two US Senators).
Because we are limited to using FedEx, we have no options for finding cheaper shipping options for you.
FedEx applies more than 1 surcharge to our shipments – one for alcohol and one for the adult signature that is required. Both of these surcharges are on top of the regular shipping rates they charge us.
In addition, if you are ordering liquid, please be advised the weight of liquid adds to the shipping cost. That’s just the nature of the industry. As a small business we cannot afford to eat the cost of shipping in all instances, although from time to time we run internet specials for customers who spend above a certain dollar amount to assist in offsetting the cost of the shipments. But, we do not add a profit-generating markup to your shipping charge; we charge you what FedEx charges us.
Therefore, please do not be surprised if the cost of shipping is $20 or more for a basic shipment.
Note: We have found that the cost to ship 2 or more bottles is almost the same as shipping just 1 bottle. So, if you are looking to spread out your shipping costs, consider buying more than 1 bottle to make your shipping charges more cost-effective.
And if you really like our products, but you don’t want to pay shipping, please consider visiting our tasting room or asking your local retailer or liquor store to stock our favorite items. Those requests help!
NOTE: Washington State spirits and merchandise taxes apply to orders shipped within Washington only, and will not apply to a shipping address outside of Washington State is entered.
Due to state laws we are NOT allowed to ship spirits to the following states: Alabama, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
If you live in one of these states and would like the freedom to order spirits over the internet (like you can do with wineries) we urge you to contact your local state representatives to change your state law to allow you more freedom. In the meantime you can try to purchase or special order our products through your local liquor store. Thank you for your understanding. At this time, we do not ship outside of the United States or to AE and APO boxes.
